SUMMARY:47th WorldSkills Competition - National Finals
DESCRIPTION:WORLDSKILLS NATIONAL FINALS\nYouth\, sharing\, effort\, commitment\, fair play\, excellence\, open-mindedness and respect for cultural diversity\, these are the words that could sum up the WorldSkills Competition. \n\nTESTS IN REAL PRODUCTION SITUATIONS\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring the National Finals\, for three days\, the competitors must carry out works which concentrate the technical difficulties of each trade\, in conditions very close to the real life of the companies. The respect of deadlines and costs\, the optimal use of equipment and materials\, safety… are all constraints to be respected\, in accordance with the requirements of the current economic world. \nThe qualities that will make the difference? Precision\, speed of execution\, creativity. \nAnd there is an additional difficulty: managing the stress caused by the large number of visitors. The competition is indeed a real challenge that requires great self-control. \n\n\n\nA LIFE-SIZE TRADE SHOWCASE\n\n\n\n\n\nMasonry\, hairdressing\, catering\, sheet metal work\, boiler making\, aeronautical maintenance… \nAll sectors of the economy are represented in the competition\, which gives a concrete vision of the trades and current skills. \nFor three days\, tens of thousands of visitors will discover the trades through the competition\, but also thanks to animations and information areas. Whether they are still hesitating about their future career or looking for a change of career\, visitors will find answers to their questions and perhaps even more: a vocation. \n\n\n\nHIGHLIGHTED PROFESSIONS\n\n\n\n\n\nIn France\, professions and professional training are still looking for the consideration they deserve. And yet\, just like our young champions\, our companies and their employees demonstrate their performance and skills in many areas. And aren’t these skills based on qualifications acquired through apprenticeship\, training and real-world experience? \nThere are many successful career paths\, some of which are exemplary and should always be highlighted! \nChoosing a vocational pathway can therefore be synonymous with success and personal fulfillment.

DESCRIPTION:Reveal… your talent\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbilympics France will meet you for the 10th International Abylimpics\, The skills Global Competition for disabled people. \nContraction from the English words « abilities » and « olympics »\, Skills Olympics Games\, the Abilympics are to trade competitions what the Paralympic Games are to the Olympic Games. \nThey demonstrate the professional excellence of disabled people in a competitive situation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganized by the Abilympics France association in partnership with WorldSkills France\, this major event will meet nearly 1500 participants (applicants\, judges\, experts) and 50 000 visitors over 2 days\, within the exhibition center of the Metz Eurometropole. \nCandidates of the French Abilympics team will be 34 to represent their passions\, their jobs and their country’s colours against the exceptional skills of the other participants coming from about 30 nations. \nThe 10th international Abilympics are\, 2 days of show\, many talents in job areas\, an Opening Ceremony\, sport and cultural activities\, conferences\, and to finish off the closing and the medal ceremony which will put the whole world’s talents forward. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInclusion: a key priority!\n\n\n\n\nOrganized jointly with the Regional Finals WorldSkills* for the Grand-Est region\, the event aims to show the skills of disabled people so that disability is replaced by professional competence. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe competition site\n\n\n\n\nThe exhibition centre of the Metz Eurometropole is a point of convergence for major European exchanges! \nLocated on the outskirts of the city of Metz\, it welcomes almost a hundred events each year. \nSome Figures \n\nOverall area of the site : 50 hectares\nExhibition area : 55 000 squares metres\n21 000 m² of covered area\n– including 1 hall of 8 000 m²\n– and 6 hexagonal halls of 1 760 m²\n239 000 m² of outside area\n5 000 free parking places\n800 000 visitors per year ( average\, taking all events together )\nAn adjacent convention center on 7 500 m²\n– including 1 auditorium with 605 seats\n– and 15 rooms from 40 to 240 m² in the convention center\n\n  \nThe whole works on a modular system\, adapting to the needs of different events.
